Residents near MPL airport win small victory

LanguedocLiving, Jul 6

Residents near Montpellier airport are overwhelmed by the noise caused by small planes. They have recently won a long-standing battle to get flight restrictions put in place.

In recent months, the pressure from residents was growing stronger. As a result, while the airport is embarking on a vast expansion project worth more than 70 million euros, the management has decided to take the lead.

The airport has decided to ban aerobatics at the airport, and takeoffs at lunchtime and siesta time.

The Hérault Flying Club are not happy with these new restrictions.
