Roadside waste program by l’Hérault

France 3/Scoop, Jun 7

For the second time this year, the Herault council has organised a ’stop the waste’ programme.

350 workers are currently out on the thousands of kilometres of roads to pick up tons of rubbish which has been thrown by the wayside.

Ten percent of the department’s roads have already been cleaned, but the workers have their job cut out to keep on top of the rubbish collecting.

Authorities are trying spread the word about not dumping rubbish, please pass the message on to get this deep-set habit broken.  It's already much better than it was ten years ago, but it's still all too common.
