Saint-Gervais-sur-Mare student sexually assaulted

France 3/Scoop, Jun 19

A 12 year old student was a victim of the “jeu de l’olive” at a school in Saint-Gervais-sur-Mare, Hérault.

The game is banned in schools, but that didn’t stop the students playing it on 4 June this year. The dubious ‘game’, made popular on social media, is to insert an object into a person’s anus.

The victim was attacked with a piece of wood by two 11 year old students. When he told his parents, the doctor confirmed that he had been sexually assaulted.

According to France Bleu Hérault, who revealed the case, the victim’s parents filed a complaint in Bédarieux for sexual assault on a child under 13 years of age. The investigation is in progress.

According to the mother of the victim, several other victims have been identified.

The perpetrator has been expelled from school for good, and his accomplice has 10 days exclusion.

The young victim does not want to return to school.

The solutions offered were to send the boy to another college 42 km away or pay for tuition at home until this story is forgotten.

"We do not know what my son will do in the next school year," said the mother, "we're thinking of moving, I think it's shameful because it's always the victim who has to leave, not the ones who did it.  No one is talking - they don't want to hurt the establishment, people are scared and they prefer to keep quiet" she added, referring to the teachers.
