Scrubland fire on A9 disrupts traffic
A scrubland fire alongside the A9 motorway required a major departmental group of firefighters to deal with it. Over 50 firefighters were mobilised, assisted by two planes and a helicopter. The fire took hold at around 4:30pm on Wednesday near Poussan, Hérault, heading to Issanka.
The smoke disrupted traffic on the motorway and the RD 613 for several hours.
The fire was eventually contained. The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed.
