Six months in prison for heartless hunter

France 3/Scoop, Mar 2

In January, we reported a story about a hunter who had dragged a dog behind his car

Today the hunter from Saint-Etienne-des-Sorts was found guilty of dragging the dog behind his 4x4 for 2 km on December 29th. He has been given a six-month prison sentence.

He is forbidden to own an animal for 10 years.

The court also forced the defendant to pay the veterinary fees and pay the owners of the animal the sum of €1,000 in damages.

Poor Rocky is still in care after being dragged by the car, but at least the hunter has had his comeuppance.
