Sixth body recovered from Marseille rubble

LanguedocLiving, Nov 7

A sixth body has been recovered from the rubble of the houses which collapsed in Marseille on Monday morning on Rue d’Aubagne. Two women and four men have been found, with rumours of another two missing.

A third building was demolished deliberately on Wednesday, to minimise the danger of an imminent collapse.

The chances of finding any survivors in the rubble is diminishing rapidly, but the search continues, and will do so for several more days. In some places the rubble is 15 metres deep.

Questions are being asked about the third building, which was not condemned or evacuated, but was in a similar state of repair as the building which collapsed.
