Skeleton found hanging in forest

LanguedocLiving, Sep 30

Hunters in a remote part of some woods near Clarensac, Gard made a grisly discovery at the weekend. On Saturday they found a skeleton hanging from a tree.

Police were notified, and an autopsy and DNA tests will need to be done to establish the identity.

The family of a missing 16 year old boy were notified of the discovery. Antoine Zoia (pictured) disappeared from Clarensac in March 2016. He left his family home without his ID papers or his mobile phone, and announced “I’ll be back”. He never returned.

Police are not confirming whether the body is that of the missing teenager. An inquiry has been opened.
