Spiderman was drunk in Narbonne

France 3/Scoop, Jun 15

In Narbonne this week, a drunk ’spiderman’ wanted to climb a building.

A 51 year old man from Narbonne tried to climb the facade of a building on the quai d’Alsace.

He didn’t get far however, because he had a blood alcohol level of 2.56 grams per litre of blood. It didn’t stop him threatening do-gooders who tried to stop him.

Eventually the police were called, and they managed to contain him. After a psychiatric assessment in a hospital, the man was taken into custody. He threatened police officers and hospital staff with death if they didn’t let him climb the building, but for his own safety he was locked up for the night while he sobered up.
