Student dies in Palavas, suspicion of meningitis

A 23-year-old student died on Thursday, May 3 at his family home in Palavas-les-Flots, Hérault. According to sources, he had complained of headaches the night before. He took pain killers to get rid of the headache, but the next day his relatives discovered the lifeless young man in his bed. The autopsy should take place on Monday.

The death could be linked to meningitis. The student was at the Montpellier Business School, and steps have already been taken to test other students, as meningitis is highly contagious.
