Super U at Trèbes finally reopens

MidiLibre/Scoop, Jan 16

Ten months ago the Super U at Trèbes was closed after the bloody attack where three people were killed by a terrorist. The supermarket was then flooded in the terrible October floods, which killed six people in the area, out of a total of 14 in the Aude.

The opening of the supermarket on Wednesday was symbolic, and the emotion was palpable for both the supermarket employees and the customers.

Guests were greeted with a drink and croissants, but nonetheless the atmosphere was heavy and quiet. The community clearly has not recovered from the two brutal bruisings it had in 2018.
