Teenager has bad day in Gigean

France 3/Scoop, Jun 5

Reports are emerging that on Sunday, following a family dispute, a teenager held his parents and brother hostage, threatening them with a knife.

The incident took place on Rue du Four-de-Grille, in Gigean, near Sète.

A police team from Balaruc-les-Bains mediated, and persuaded the teenager to see reason.

The Montpellier Court of Appeal will take advice on his mental state, to judge whether or not he will remain in custody.
