The incredible journey of Joyce the dog

La Dépêche/Scoop, Aug 13

In January, Joyce, the four year old Alaskan dog from Castres, Tarn, wandered off during a family walk. She didn’t return, and the owners searched in vain, but to no avail. They put an ad on Pet Alert, with her photo and details, but still no joy.

Having given up hope of ever finding the dog again, finally, six months later, they received a phone call from Charentes-Maritimes, 400 km away. A dog rescue kennel had found the dog, and managed to locate the owners.

The next day, after an eight hour journey, the family and Joyce the dog were joyfully reunited.
