Thief is followed by victim and gets arrested

MidiLibre/Scoop, Jan 20

A thief broke into a house in Cers east of Béziers, and when he left the house he was stealthily followed by the owner of the house who had heard noises and was alerted to the burglary.

The owner called the police to say that he was following a thief, and the police intercepted the 45 year-old burglar who was trying to hide in some bushes.

The thief had carried out two burglaries on Sunday, and was wanted in connection with investigations into several other burglaries in the region.

Police arrested the man, and he was placed in custody, pending a court appearance.
