Three injured, including two children, on notorious ‘black’ road

France 3/Scoop, May 14

This Saturday, at 12:45, a 31-year-old driver, registered in the Pyrénées Orientales, lost control of her car, an Audi 4X4, on the notorious road from Bédarieux to Béziers, Hérault. She hit a tree on the right hand side of the road, and the car ended up on its side, on the other side of the road.

The driver, and her two passengers, a five-year-old girl and a ten-year-old boy were injured. All three were evacuated by firefighters from Béziers, Corneilhan and Montady to Béziers hospital. The Béziers police officers were on hand to understand the circumstances of the accident that occurred on the departmental 909 in the direction Bédarieux-Béziers.

Despite work done on this notorious road to reduce the bends, and stabilise the surface, accidents are all too common on this road.
