Three years for dropping a 16 kg stone on a car

France 3/Scoop, May 27

A 35-year-old homeless man was sentenced to a three-year prison sentence for throwing a 16 kg stone on a car. The incident happened on Saturday night last weekend on the A9 at Villemolaque, in the Pyrenees-Orientales.

The homeless man admitted that alcohol had affected his mind, leading him to carry out this senseless act.

The 19-year-old driver believed that an explosion had happened in his car, and he thought that his days were numbered. He and his passenger were saved by emergency braking because the stone block on the engine had blocked the hydraulic braking system.
