Toulouse grinds to a halt

Toulouse trams, buses and Lines A and B of the metro ground to a halt on Monday due to continued demonstrations and damage caused at the weekend.

A Tisséo spokesperson said that the lines were stopped for security reasons.

Line A of the metro is stopped for an indefinite period. The Jean-Jaurès and Paul Sabatier University stations on metro line B are currently closed.

Demonstrations took place in front of several Toulouse high schools on Monday, notably at the Arena. In the district of Patte d'Oie, a supermarket was damaged near the Pasteur clinic.
