Tour de France 2019: three days in the Gard?
The Gard could be the big winner of the 2019 edition of the Tour de France 2019.
The track will be officially unveiled on October 25, but there are rumours that the Tour de France could be in the Gard for three days next year.
The riders would arrive in Nîmes on Sunday 21 July. The next day would be a day of rest. On Tuesday, Nîmes would be the departure and arrival city, possibly for a time trial.
According to Objectif Gard, a negotiation is underway for a passage inside the Bullring Arena, as the Vuelta did in August 2017. On Wednesday 24, the caravan will leave the department from the Pont du Gard.
