Train lines underwater, schools and metro closed

LanguedocLiving, Jun 6

If the strikes weren’t enough to slow the trains down, the weather is playing its part now.

The SNCF route between Toulouse and Narbonne was underwater on Tuesday and Wednesday, and tracks are also flooded near Castelnaudary.

The Marengo-SNCF metro station in Toulouse has also been flooded, and the lines were partially interrupted in the afternoon.

In Drémil-Lafage, a school had to be evacuated because of water infiltration, according to our colleagues from France Bleu Occitanie.

More rain is forecast for Thursday, although the weekend is looking a little more promising.
