Train traffic disrupted by tree trunks

France 3/Scoop, May 18

Train traffic between Béziers and Agde was disrupted on Friday morning due to logs and branches found on the train tracks.

Already affected by the railway workers’ strike, train traffic on the Nîmes-Narbonne line was further delayed by obstacles placed on the tracks. Two sets of obstacles were found in different locations on the line. The first incident was reported shortly after 7 am near Vias, and the second one, slightly later was near Villeneuve les Béziers.

According to the SNCF, they were “acts of malicious intent”.
