Tribute to the victims of Millas school bus accident
Six school children died on 14 December 2017, when a train collided with a school bus on the level crossing at Millas. A tribute was held on Friday, one year after the terrible accident.
Ballons were released at the Christian Bourquin College at 10am to start the commemorations.
Hundreds of residents of Saint-Feliu d’Avall and Millas were at the ceremony for the six dead children and the 17 injured.
The day of homage continued with the inauguration of a tree of life sculpture erected in the Millas cemetery.
On Friday afternoon, a ‘white march’ took place from the college to the place of the accident, where a testimonies were read by Michel Rouquette the academic head, and the mother of one of the victims.
