Trumpet shuts down Toulouse subway

MidiLibre/Scoop, Jan 16

A suspicious package caused the partial shutdown of the line A metro in Toulouse, on Wednesday.

At 9am on Wednesday morning, a small suitcase was found on the platform at the Mirail-University metro station. The suitcase looked to be abandoned, and security were notified.

The bomb squad were called in, and they decided to detonate the suitcase, which turned out to be a trumpet case. As the Midi Libre said, the trumpet is now condemned to silence.

Traffic resumed on the line shortly before 11am.
