Vinci scrap plans to pursue motorists

Toll road operator Vinci backtracked on its plan to pursue motorists who were let through toll booths which were occupied by the gilets jaunes.

On Monday they said that they would issue motorists with an invoice, as their licence plates were captured by surveillance cameras.

Their announcement caused an uproar, and hundreds of motorists wrote to say that they were simply unable to pay due to the gilets jaunes demonstrations.

Vinci have backed down, and have stated that they will not pursue payment.
