What changes in France in December?

Gas 

Gas is going down by 2,4 percent for heating, 1,5 percent for those houses that use gas for cooking and hot water, and 0.8 percent for cooking only. 

COP21

200 countries meet from 2 to 14 December, to try to breathe life into the COP21 climate change Paris agreement.  

Condoms 

Aimed at preventing sexually transmitted diseases, condoms bought with a medical prescription are going to be refundable as from December 10.

Co-owned properties 

If you are the owner of an apartment in a building of fewer than 50 individually owned properties, then you must be on a register. December 31 is the latest date that you must register your details. You can see more here www.registre-coproprietes.gouv.fr.

Taxes

If you filed your tax returns in the spring, you have until December 18 to amend your details. Click on impots.gouv.fr to correct it. If you have made a paper declaration and you want to change it, you need to write to your tax office to request amendments.
