Woman rejoices at the death of Trèbes butcher

MidiLibre/Scoop, Mar 29

A woman who is an activist for the prevention of cruelty to animal has publicly rejoiced on Facebook about the death of the butcher from the Super U in Trèbes. Butcher Christian Medvès was killed by the terrorist Radouane Lakdim during the Aude attacks.

The woman lives in Haute-Garonne, and presents herself on social networks as a producer of vegan cheeses and an animal activist. She took the post down after two hours, but that didn’t stop a flood of complaints, and has resulted in her arrest on Wednesday.

The offending message: "Well, why does it shock you that an assassin gets killed by a terrorist?" "I do not have any compassion for him, there is still justice."

Last week, another social media user, Stéphane Poussier, had rejoiced in the death of Lieutenant Colonel Beltrame, and he was sentenced to one year suspended prison sentence for his remarks.
