Young dolphin washed up at Sète

France 3/Scoop, Oct 17

A young dolphin was discovered on Tuesday morning, by two children walking with their parents on the beach.

Experts who came to collect the unfortunate dolphin said that it was most likely injured in the violent storms that shook the region on Sunday night, Monday morning. The waves at Séte were reported to be 6m high, a challenging storm for a young dolphin.

The discovery of marine mammals stranded on the beaches at Sète is, alas, quite common. They are very often injured by colliding with boats, or getting caught in nets.
