Young man hit by tram in Montpellier

A young man was struck by a tram in Montpellier on Monday morning at around 10:50. He was running down the Boulevard du Jeu-de-Paume, and was hit by a tram. He was thrown on to a barrier at the station de l’Observatoire.

The injured man was cared for by nearby ambulance staff, and taken to hospital.

Traffic was disrupted for some time, especially at the Comédie tunnel. Lines 3 and 4 of the Tam were also delayed due to the accident.
