Accident on the ‘notorious’ RD909 near Autignac

Six people were injured, including a nine-year-old boy and a 35-year-old woman, in a road accident in Autignac, Hérault.

The accident occurred late morning on Thursday on the RD909, a road notorious for accident black spots.

Two cars hit each other at “high velocity” according to the police.  A 35 year-old woman had to be cut out of her car, and together with the nine year-old boy she was taken to Montpellier hospital by helicopter.

The people in the other car were not as badly injured.  A two year old girl, two boys aged eight and 11, and a 66 year-old man were transported to Béziers hospital.
