This Thursday morning, a man, drunk and armed, entered the courtyard of the Jean-Jaurès school in Béziers, in the Iranget district.
A father of a student approached the staggering drunkard and asked him to leave. The suspect threatened the father with a hand gun. The father defended himself by punching the suspect in the face, and the suspect fled.
He was arrested by the police, who found him in the accident and emergency hospital, where he had gone to get treatment for a broken nose.
He was placed in a police sobering-up cell. Police will need to determine why the armed man entered the school, and what he intended to do there.
