Coronavirus patient dies in Paris

Health authorities have confirmed that a patient has died in Paris as five new cases of the virus were recorded in the last 24 hours.

Jérôme Salomon, director general of the French health authority, confirmed on Wednesday morning that a 60-year-old man had died overnight after testing positive for the illness at Pitié Salpêtrière hospital in Paris.

This brings the death toll to two in France, one French, and the other Chinese.

Occitanie hospitals are apparently “coronavirus ready”, according to Midi Libre.
