An animal welfare group is looking for volunteers to transport animals in southwest France.
The Aquitaine branch of the Ligue pour la protection des oiseaux (LPO) has issued a call for volunteers able to transport animals to its care centres in Gironde, Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne.
Volunteers would be expected to help cover the following areas:
In Gironde (33): Blaye, Sauveterre-de-Guyenne, Langon, Libourne.
In Dordogne (24): Périgueux, Sarlat-la-Canéda, Bergerac, Mussidan.
In Lot-et-Garonne (47): Marmande, Aiguillon, Nérac, Agen, Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Montflanquin.
According to the association, the only requirement is that volunteers have their own vehicle that they can use to transport the animals.
Anyone interested should email email@example.com specifying which area they can cover and availability. Interested parties should be aware that, occasionally, the need for this kind of help comes at short notice.
