In Montpellier, Béziers and Sète, there is a curfew between 9pm and 5am, until at least 31 March. This changed on Thursday, to reduce it to 9pm instead of 10pm.
In addition, the prefect of Hérault has issued a decree regulating the opening hours of retail businesses selling tobacco products, electronic cigarettes and vaping equipment and devices in specialised stores. These businesses are authorised to open only between 7am and 8pm.
The aim is to strengthen measures to combat the coronavirus and nocturnal groupings. It is also to help the police in order to fight against burglaries and drug trafficking.
The curfew in force in Carcassonne, Narbonne and Perpignan is 10pm – 5am.
Anyone stopped in the curfew zones will be fined €135.
