Dismantling of drug trafficking network in Hérault


Investigators from the Research Section and the GIR of Montpellier dismantled a drug trafficking network that was rampant in the Hérault department. After three months of investigation, five individuals have been charged.

The arrests were made on the night of February 1 on the A71, in the department of Loi-et-Cher. Five individuals were in convoy when they were stopped by the police.

They were carrying more than 10 kg of cocaine, which represents a street value of several thousand euros.

Three months of prior investigation were necessary to trap the team, the majority of the activity taking part in Montpellier.

The five traffickers arrested were charged and placed under arrest.
