From Wednesday April 1 (no joke), passengers will be able to fly all year round from Montpellier to Nantes.
EasyJet has announced the opening of its seventh route from Montpellier airport, just a few months after launching flights to Porto. “We are committed to offering varied destinations at affordable prices to leisure and business travellers in Montpellier and the region,” said Reginald Otten, deputy managing director of easyJet for France.
Five flights will be offered per week, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
In addition to Porto and Nantes, easyJet offers flights from Montpellier to Berlin, Bristol, two airports in the London area and Basel. This route to Nantes also reinforces the domestic offers of the airport – other airlines go to Paris, Ajaccio, Bastia, Bordeaux, Brest, Lille and Strasbourg.
This Friday, new signs will be installed on the A9, to resolve the woeful omission of signposting the airport after the motorway changes were done in 2017. President Hollande was left with a red face after he missed the junction. It’s taken nearly three years to get them in place.
