On Sunday morning, a fire broke out on the Place de la Madeleine, in Béziers requiring the evacuation of a dozen people.
A scooter caught on fire, and the fire quickly spread, and threatened to engulf a gas meter.
For safety, a dozen people had to be evacuated.
The situation returned to normal at around 9:30 am. There were no injuries.
