According to France Météo, the weather will be gloomy for the weekend.
Temperatures have dropped by around 10 degrees, and much of the region will be rainy. Many of you may have seen snow on the Pyrenees during the clear sunny week, well it’s going to be snowing on the Pyrenees again this weekend over 1,800 m.
Thunderstorms are also possible in the region on Saturday, and the westerly wind will be significant in Gers, Hautes-Pyrénées and Aude. The minimum temperature will be from 6 to 11 degrees, and the maximum 16 to 20 degrees in the Gard.
On Sunday, the weather will be mixed once again, although during the afternoon the temperatures may creep right up to 21 degrees in the Gard. Storms are forecast for Lozère, and the winds will still be making an impression.
The positive outlook is of course for the gardens and the water table, as several departments have already been on drought alerts. Those of you who waited until after Saint de Glace last weekend to plant your summer vegetables and salads, will no doubt be welcoming the rains. Every cloud has a silver lining…
