Hollande and Valls more unpopular than ever


The reshuffle has achieved nothing: the executive has a growing number of discontented people in February, according to an Ifop poll for the Journal du Dimanche.

The popularity ratings of both Francois Hollande (-5) and Manuel Valls (-6) experienced significant falls in February, according to the barometer Ifop for the Journal du Dimanche (JDD).

Only 19% of respondents say they are “satisfied” with the work of the head of state, against 24% last month. Conversely, 81% say they’re “unhappy” (+6). 43% are “rather dissatisfied” and 38% “very dissatisfied” (+5).

Among the PS supporters, there are 53% said to be satisfied (-12). Manuel Valls recorded a 33% satisfaction rating, against 39% in January. 66% of respondents are dissatisfied (+6). 63% of PS sympathizers are satisfied (-11).

Survey conducted from February 12 to 20 by internet and telephone among a representative sample of 1,968 people over 18 years (quota method).
