Forecasters are predicting a hotter than normal July and August this year.
A large part of Europe is expected to experience warmer than normal temperatures this summer as a result of sustained anticyclonic conditions. “The different models agree on the fact that it will be warmer than usual in July and August because anticyclonic conditions should dominate the period over France, and much of Europe”, summarised Emmanuel Demaël, forecaster for Météo France.
“July will be warmer and drier than August,” predicted the expert.
As for June, Guillaume Séchet, forecaster for Meteo-paris.com, said “after the hot Ascension weekend, temperatures have returned to what we expect for the season and there should be normal June rain and sun.”
