A project to add more parking, and modernise the existing parking is starting at Béziers Cap d’Agde Airport in November, following the increase in passenger traffic.
The work program covers the increase of the number of parking spaces (200 additional spaces) and the creation of a new area for rental vehicles.
The project also provides for the installation of a 7000 m² photovoltaic shading park whose electricity production is estimated at 1560 MWH per year, equivalent to 517 tonnes of CO2 savings (installed capacity 1.15 MWC ).
The budget for the works is €950,000 and will be borne by the Syndicat mixte, the car rental companies and Total Quadran, in partnership with the semi-public company Semper.
The construction will begin in November and will end in mid-March 2020. During the entire duration of the works, P2 passenger car parks and rental cars will be moved. Temporary parking is open from October 14 (road and pedestrian signs are now in place at the airport).
Beziers Cap d’Agde Airport has 9 destinations in Europe: London Luton, London Stansted, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, Stockholm, Düsseldorf Weeze, Paris Beauvais and Brussels Charleroi.
