Every summer people get injured from jumping off the Pont du Diable bridge between Aniane and Saint-Jean-de-Fos in Hérault.
This Sunday afternoon, a 21 year old man made the jump, but didn’t make it back to the surface of the Hérault river.
Divers are looking for him.
The 18-metre-high UNESCO World Heritage Bridge passes over the Hérault Gorge, and the spot attracts many tourists and swimmers. Despite the risks, and the ban from jumping off the bridge, many daredevils take the plunge each summer.
