Three people were arrested and taken into custody at the Perpignan police station for trying to obtain very expensive medicines, notably anti-cancer drugs, using false prescriptions. The police are asking city pharmacists to be vigilant.
The three suspects attempted to obtain cancer and hepatitis C drugs using fake prescriptions.
According to the Departmental Directorate of Public Security of the Pyrénées-Orientales (DDSP 66), these drugs illegally collected from pharmacies are likely to be sold abroad by organised criminal networks.
