Members of the Languedoc Photography Group have been submitting photos for our Skies competition.
In first place is Cathy Dumas for her beautiful red sky and water, with plants in the foreground. The photo was taken at Aresquiers at the edge of the étangs between Vic la Gardiole and Frontignan, Hérault.
Cathy said “Sit quietly and contemplate, in front of the magic of the moment offered by Mother Nature at Aresquiers. There are silences where light speaks to us.”
The photo was taken with a phone.
Second place goes to Jane Doyle for her orange sky reflected in the water framed with trees and grasses. Jane said “we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and had been for a meal in town. Walking back to our hotel, the sunset was amazing and I managed to get a good capture.”
It was close this week, in joint third place are Siobhan Sheehy and Nigel Rogers.
