A work attributed to Banksy was stolen in 2019 from a back door of Parisian venue Bataclan.
It was a tribute to the victims of the November 2015 attacks in Paris.
On Wednesday, Italian police found the work in the Abruzzo region. “We recovered the stolen door with a work by Banksy depicting the sad girl,” said a senior officer in Teramo, Italy. The operation, said the police, was carried out at the request and in the presence of French police.
The door was found on a farm in the Abbruz countryside, according to the daily La Repubblica.
