The Tour de France is stopping in Toulouse


On July 16, 17 and 18, the Tour de France will be in the spotlight in Toulouse, the ‘pink city’.  The city has planned to welcome all cycling aficionados, who can participate in many activities.

Here’s the route it will take:

The program:

July 16th

The day before the arrival of the Tour de France cyclists, the event “100 women by bike” will invite the participants to cycle 100km between Albi and Toulouse, on the track of stage 11 of the Tour. This free event will be a moment of conviviality, without competition, just for the pleasure of riding together.

July 17th

– The highlight of this day is of course the arrival of the Tour de France riders at the Compans Caffarelli district where the public will be able to congratulate the winners of the stage during their climb on the podium.

A special evening will be held at the Victor Hugo market from 18:30 to 22:30.

The Cité de l’Espace is also celebrating by offering its visitors an exceptional night out linked to the Tour de France until 9 pm, for a price of €5.

The Association 2 pieds 2 roues will organise a bike ride on a circuit in the city centre for around 2 hours. The last 6km of this course will be dedicated to the official stage. The departure will be at 8:30 pm in front of the Saint-Sernin basilica, the flagship of Toulouse, and the arrival will be Place du Capitole.

July 18th

Rendez-vous for the general public to enjoy the entertainment and the Tour Caravan, to meet the cyclists, see the official podium.
