The Montech radar recently installed in Tarn-et-Garonne has already been destroyed. Installed at the beginning of the summer, the radar which could control not only the speed but also the wearing of safety belts and the use of phones while driving was sawn off and set on fire on Friday night.

A municipal police car was burned during the demonstration of gilets jaunes in Montpellier on rue Saint-Guilhem.  In early afternoon around 2,000 gilets jaunes began to gather in Montpellier for the first big event of the season.  The situation quickly got ugly, as the gilets jaunes taunted the riot police.  War-like scenes were captured on this video from France 3.

The Occitanie honey harvest is catastrophic this year.  Due to lack of sufficient food because of the drought, bees have produced less honey this summer.  As a result, production is a third of what it was last year.
